Take a Look at Where You're Starting

I’m so excited that your decided to make kicking some financial butt one of your priorities. In order for you to see just how much a difference budgeting can make, I want you to jot down some notes of what your finances look like right now. Include your frustrations, confusion, debts that stress you out, everything.

Know What is Motivating You

As I said in the course description, there is only so much I can do to keep you motivated, at the end of the day you have to make your reasons for taking this course personal. So your homework for right now is figure out what your motivation is for building a budget. Make it specific. Is it debt, is it control over your finances so you can save for something, or is it something else? What is it that you want to accomplish with your finances?
